Gensler in Newport Beach named Nichole Todd and Tricia York senior associates and David Smith and Anne Breta & #324;a associates. Todd is a senior project manager on Irvine Company’s 15 million square feet of commercial real estate. York is the project manager for Irvine Co.’s commercial real estate portfolio. Smith is the project manager of the John Wayne Airport terminal C addition. Breta & #324;a manages several Bank of America Corp. administrative projects.
ARTS
Arts Orange County in Santa Ana added Sophie Cripe and Beth Krom to its board. Cripe is a retired fund raising executive who has taught fundraising at the University of California, Irvine. Krom is a city council member in Irvine.
ASSOCIATIONS
Darlynn Morgan was added to board of the Orange County chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners as legal counsel. Morgan founded Morgan Law Group in Newport Beach and also is on the board of Mission Valley Bank.
CONSULTING
Craig Albin joined Irvine-based Alliance Resource Group as director of consulting solutions. Albin has 15 years of consulting experience in the areas of finance, accounting, technology and enterprise governance.
EDUCATION
Chapman University added Emily Vogler and Barry Goldfarb to its board of trustees and Scott Kisting to its board of governors. Vogler is a full-time doctoral student in neuroscience at UC Irvine. Goldfarb is a real estate investor and entrepreneur. He heads Barry Goldfarb and Co. and New Moon Investment Co. Kisting owns Kisting Consulting, which works with financial institutions.
Terence Nelson has been hired as the assistant dean of counseling services and special programs for Mission Viejo-based Saddleback College. Nelson will oversee extended opportunity programs and services, the cooperative agencies resources for education program, disabled student programs and services, the California work opportunity and responsibility to kids program, educational support services to veterans and active duty military personnel, as well as family and student service-related grants.
HEALTHCARE
Melinda Guinaldo joined Center for Hope and Healing in Irvine as interim executive director. Guinaldo will streamline management practices and oversee fundraising strategies for the organization.
LAW
Newmeyer & Dillion LLP named John Bow-erbank, Ryan Manning and Leonard Polyakov partners in its Newport Beach office. The partners specialize in business, real estate and construction litigation. Manning and Polyakov also handle insurance litigation. Bowerbank recently served as assistant deputy district attorney with the Orange County District Attorney’s office in the trial attorney partnership program. Manning recently was a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as a senior prosecutor in the Department of Defense. Polyakov has additional experience in trade secret disputes, intellectual pro- perty, unfair trade practices and business torts.
NONPROFIT
Nancy Weintraub of Seal Beach and Patrick Maciariello of Newport Beach joined the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County. Weintraub is assistant dean in UCI’s School of Biological Sciences. In this role, she is responsible for fundraising and campaign planning, among other things. Maciariello is a private equity investor with Compass Group Management LLC, which has an office in Laguna Hills.
Barbara D’Amato joined the board of Anaheim Hills’ Canyon Acres Children and Family Services. Canyon Acres provides homes, care, treatment and services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families. D’Amato is founder and chief executive of Trilogy Capital Corp. in Irvine.
Santa Ana-based WisePlace added Rita Armendariz, Martha Daniel, Dori Estabrook and Mary Figlioli to its board. Armendariz is an eligibility coordinator in the department of community medicine at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach. Daniel is founder and chief executive of Information Management Resource Inc. in Laguna Hills. Estabrook is owner of D’s Old Fashioned Coffee Cakes. Figlioli is first vice president at Far East National Bank, part of Taiwan’s SinoPac Holdings.
REAL ESTATE
Aliso Viejo-based Merit, a community association management company that is part of FirstService Corp., hired Dan Henein as district manager. He will oversee and direct community management staff for several communities in the county.
