ACCOUNTING

RGL Forensic Accoun-tants & Consultants promoted Walter M. Jakl to director. Jakl joined Englewood, Colo.-based RGL’s OC office in 1992. He has more than 30 years experience in forensic accounting, auditing and business advisory services.


AEROSPACE

Palomar Products in Rancho Santa Margarita named Kevin Moschetti president. He recently was vice president of business development for the advanced input systems unit of Bellevue, Wash.-based Esterline Technologies Corp., Palomar’s parent company.


Architecture

Keith Ray joined the Irvine office of McLarand Vasquez Emsiek & Partners Inc. as principal of retail and urban mixed-use design. Previously, Ray spent 12 years as a principal of Westfield Design. In his new position, Ray is leading two development teams: Five Seven Centrum in Anaheim and the Pier at Town Lake in Tempe, Ariz.


BANKING

U.S. Bank Equipment Finance named Scott Dickson relationship manager for its machine tool finance group. Dickson is based in Anaheim and has worked in the machine tool and capital equipment leasing and finance industry for 11 years. Most recently he worked for Zions Credit Corp.


EDUCATION

Rancho Santiago Com-munity College District named Mark C. Liang associate dean of financial aid at Santa Ana College. He has been interim associate dean since fall 2006. He previously was a contracts specialist for the district. Liang will manage federal, state and local financial aid programs.


GOVERNMENT

Elizabeth Richardson of Huntington Beach was named special assistant inspector general in the Bureau of Independent Review for the state’s Office of the Inspector General. She has been a deputy commissioner on the Board of Parole Hearings since 1997. Alejandro Arredondo of Brea was named to the State Board of Optometry. He has been an optometrist in private practice since 1988. He is a member of the California Optometric Association.


INSURANCE

Heffernan Insurance Brokers named Bill McCabe assistant vice president in the Orange office. He will focus on property and casualty insurance for the hospitality industry. Lynn Mobley was named vice president of the Orange office. Mobley recently worked at Armstrong Robitaille/Union Banc Insurance. Monica Everett was added as assistant vice president. She recently worked for John Burnham Insurance Services in San Diego.

Abe Gottesman was hired as senior vice president of Edgewood Partners Insurance Center. Previously, Gottesman was chief operating officer at See Touring Productions Inc. He founded the Gottesman Group in 2000. In his new position he will produce and manage mid-market to large national and global accounts.


LAW

Newmeyer & Dillon LLP added Cheryl L. Van Steenwyk as a partner in its Newport Beach headquarters. She was formerly a partner in the Century City office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Van Steenwyk is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.


MEDIA

Lee Ann Canaday was named to the KOCE-TV Foundation’s board. She owns real estate company Canaday Group. Suzanne O’Keeffe was hired as marketing manager. She recently was director of marketing and public relations for Santa Ana-based Pacific Chorale. Suzanne White joined as KOCE-TV director of membership.


NONPROFIT

The Friends of Santa Ana Zoo added David Exline and Michael Doan to its board. Exline is principal of Exline Design & Architecture and is an active member of OC’s Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Doan is an audit manager at Squar Milner Peterson Miranda & Williamson LLP with seven years experience in assurance and attestation services.


REAL ESTATE

Exit Real Estate Center added Robert Buhman as director of sales and development. Prior to Exit, he worked for Century 21 Beachside. Axis Avalos joined Exit Real Estate in Costa Mesa. He recently earned his real estate license and is a part-time student.

Sperry Van Ness promoted Rod Santomassimo and Kevin Maggiacomo to senior vice presidents. Santomassimo recently was regional director and vice president of the National Advisor Organization. Maggiacomo has more than 13 years of commercial real estate experience.

Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors added Carlos J. Lopez as president of Hanley Investment Urban Retail Advisors. Lopez has more than 17 years experience in retail investment sales and leasing. He was most recently managing director at Reza Investment Group.


TECHNOLOGY

Ensynch Inc. in Irvine named Joel Fricker vice president of sales, California. He has more than 15 years experience in technology and sales. He previously worked as regional manager for LMS. Before that, he was test director for the Lear Corp.
