Deloitte & Touche promoted two people in its Costa Mesa office. Michael Juergens, a member of the office’s enterprise resources planning assurance services group, has been named as a principal. Kurt Schmelt-zer, a member of the firm’s employee benefits tax services group, has been named a director.
Newport Beach-based SM & A; hired Anthony Leone as vice president for consulting services. Leone will attempt to bring the company’s execution services to a wider range of customers.
Chicago-based Cardinal Consulting Inc. has opened an office in Newport Beach and appointed John Sac-co its director. The company provides information technology and management consulting services to the healthcare industry.
CONSTRUCTION
DMK Inc. a Tustin-based builder hired Brent Jones as project manager. Jones has 22 years construction experience. He will coordinate the construction process from bid award to client occupancy on DMK projects in Southern California.
NONPROFIT
The Irvine-based Motorcycle Safety Foundation has hired Philip Davidson as project manager and Jim O’Connor as program services coordinator. The foundation offers programs in rider training, operator licensing and public information.
Linda Paternie of Laguna Niguel was elected to a three-year term on the Orange County Ronald McDonald House board of trustees. She is currently vice president and chief nurse executive at Children’s Hospital at Mission in Mission Viejo The Ronald McDonald House provides a home setting for families with children being treated for cancer and other illnesses
The Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, based in Costa Mesa, recently hired Laura Tase as executive assistant and Lidia Carlton as administrative assistant.

Scott Hamilton has joined CT Realty Corp., a Newport Beach-based real estate investment and development firm, as vice president for acquisitions. He previously served as vice president for acquisitions and dispositions for Koll Bren Schreiber Realty Advisors Inc.
Resource Commercial Real Estate Inc. of Irvine has hired Roxann Wurst to head its project management services team. She will be in charge of managing corporate clients and projects throughout the state.

Ann Emich has joined Spa Gaucin at the St. Regis Monarch Bay Resort in Dana Point. As director, she will develop signature tre-atments and explore new activities and products for the spa.

Alan C. Brawn has joined Samsung Semiconductor Inc.’s digital information technology division in Irvine as manager, A/V marketing. The division also hired Sean Stead as marketing product manager for storage.
