ARCHITECTURE

Keith Ray was named principal at Irvine-based MVE & Partners Inc. Ray has 35 years of experience in architecture, design and construction. He was previously senior vice president of mixed-use development at Archstone-Smith Trust and was senior vice president of design at retail developer Westfield Group.


ARTS

Karen Wood was named managing director of the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach. Wood was previously managing director of the San Diego Repertory Theatre for seven years.


BANKING

Wescom Credit Union added Scott Dieckmann as vice president of collections. Previously he was with Triad Financial Services where he managed the collections division. He has 13 years of experience in collections and management. Dieckmann is based in the Anaheim Hills branch.


CONSULTING

Chris Poole joined Jams, The Resolution Experts as president and chief executive. Poole was most recently chief executive at Thomson Elite, a member of the Thomson Corp. Before joining Elite, Poole was executive director of Latham & Watkins LLP in Los Angeles. Poole received the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.


ENGINEERING

Irvine-based Fuscoe Engineering Inc. added Jeffrey Davis as senior engineering manager at its Irvine office. Davis has more than 30 years of experience in public transportation projects including work done for the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor and Foothill Transportation Corridor.


FINANCE

Chad Cooper was promoted to director of institutional sales at Roth Capital LLC in Newport Beach. Cooper began working at the company six years ago. Previously he worked at eSamsung Ventures and Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Co. Cooper holds a master’s in business administration from Georgetown University.


GOVERNMENT

Dana Point resident Wayne Rayfield was appointed to the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board. He most recently was on the Dana Point City Council through 2006. Rayfield currently serves as chair of the board for Dana Point Earth/Ocean Society and is on the board of directors for the Ocean Institute.


INSURANCE

Edgewood Partners Insurance Center hired Russ Gunn as senior vice president in its Orange office. Gunn has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.


LAW

The Newport Beach office of Christie, Parker & Hale added Anne F. Bradley and Joshua T. Chu as associates. Bradley holds a law degree from University of California Hastings College of the Law. Chu is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese and worked as a summer associate at the firm of Stone & Hiles LLP.

Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP elected Brandon Howald as a partner. Howald is a member of the corporate department in the firm’s Costa Mesa office. He focuses on private equity, mergers and acquisitions and corporate and securities law.


MARKETING

Morgan Marketing & Public Relations LLC promoted Christy Flanagan to director. Flanagan oversees accounts for Panda Restaurant Group, Mimi’s Caf & #233; and It’s A Grind.


MEDIA

Barbara Bond was named donor relations coordinator at KOCE-TV in Huntington Beach. Bond comes to KOCE-TV from her previous position as volunteer coordinator for Vegas PBS. In her new position, Bond oversees member services, volunteers and special events. She’ll work to continue growth in the Friends of KOCE volunteer organization.


NONPROFIT

Heather Herd joined the board of Volunteer Center of Orange County. She is an associate attorney in the trial section of Rutan & Tucker LLP in Costa Mesa. Herd joined Rutan in 2005 after earning a law degree in 2001 from University of California, Los Angeles. She is a member of the OC Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and the OC Women Lawyer’s Association.

The American Cancer Society OC Region added Jeff Thomas and Cathy Dougherty to its regional council. Thomas is regional vice president for investment management at Van Kampen Investments in Tustin. Dougherty is group manager, worldwide VIP customer and community relations for Fullerton-based Beckman Coulter Inc.


REAL ESTATE

Michelle Cheney Donaldson and Elise Luckham joined the First American Corp. in Santa Ana. Donaldson was hired as corporate director of diversity and inclusion while Luckham joined as vice president, director of corporate real estate. Additionally, Karen J. Collins and Stephanie M. Swenseid were promoted to vice president, chief diversity and inclusion officer and corporate director of supplier diversity, respectively.

Michael P. Bissell was named president of the multifamily property management division of the Sares-Regis Group in Irvine. Bissell has worked at Equity Residential Trust, The Irvine Company and his own real estate consulting firm M.P. Bissell & Associates.
