ARCHITECTURE
David Smith has joined Irvine-based Thomas P. Cox Architects Inc. as senior designer. Smith will create designs for multifamily, student housing and urban planning projects.
The firm also has hired Jonathan Gull-iver as project manager to oversee multifamily projects for The Irvine Company.
Also, Kevin Stadler has been hired to design the firm’s graphics for its Web site, corporate brochures and newsletters.
Additionally, Anna Nelson has been added as business development manager and will oversee marketing and public relations.
Orange-based Arch-itects Orange has named Robert Clignett senior project manager. Clignett was an associate of Costa Mesa-based McClarand, Vas-quez, Emsiek & Part-ners Inc. He has experience managing high-density and urban in-fill projects.
BUSINESS SERVICES
Mireille Staub has joined Tatum CIO Partners LLP as a partner in OC. Staub, an information officer, has worked for 30 years in technology and information systems capacities.
CONSTRUCTION
Chuck Morales has been hired to handle business development for Irvine-based Roel Construction Co. with an emphasis on the automotive industry. Previously, Morales worked for Chino-based Alexander Devel-opment.
ENGINEERING
Sharon Yates has joined Aliso Viejo-based Group Delta Consultants Inc. as director of business development. Yates has 15 years of experience in marketing, proposal coordination and contract administration in civil and geotechnical engineering. She will oversee operations in Aliso Viejo and Torrance.
HEALTHCARE
Edie Fee has been appointed chair of Mission Viejo-based Mission Hospital’s board of trustees. Fee is the director of implementation and training for Santa Ana-based FM International.
Additionally, Edward M. Muldoon has been elected to the hospital’s board. Muldoon is chairman and chief executive of Bivar Inc., an Irvine-based manufacturing company.
Dr. Peter P. Greaney has been elected speaker of the house of delegates for the American College of Occupational Environmental Medicine, an international medical society. Greaney is founder, medical director and chief executive of WorkCare, an occupational health firm based in Orange.
INSURANCE
Irvine-based Lockton Insurance Brokers Inc. has promoted Jim Lawrence to executive vice president. Lawrence is responsible for developing new business and overseeing risk-management issues.
Additionally, Richard Roderick has been promoted to senior vice president. Roderick, who joined the firm in 1996, will continue to represent Fortune 500 and middle-market corporations with exposure to domestic and international risk.
LAW
Gerard L. Oskam has joined the Irvine office of Arter & Hadden LLP in the corporate and securities group. Oskam’s practice focuses on venture capital and private and public offerings of securities, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and corporate matters.
MANUFACTURING
Cypress-based Bandai America Inc. has named Larry Falcon vice president of sales. Falcon worked at Hasbro Inc. and Parker Brothers Inc. during his 29-year career. He will develop retail relationships, expand partnerships and manage sales activities for the company’s brands.
Joseph Lauderdale has been appointed president and chief executive of Buena Park-based Certified Fabricators Inc. Previously, Lauderdale was president and chief operating officer of Laguna Hills-based Microseptec Inc.
NON-PROFIT
N. Christian Anderson III has been re-elected chairman of the Costa Mesa-based Orange County Business Committee for the Arts. Anderson is publisher and chief executive of The Orange County Register.
RESTAURANT
Brian Carmichall has been promoted to director of design and construction for Irvine-based El Pollo Loco Inc. Carmichall will oversee new restaurant development, design and construction, and work on the rollout of a chain-wide remodel program.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Vision Solutions Inc. has promoted Alan Arnold to president and chief operating officer. Arnold joined the company in 2000 and has previously served as executive vice president of engineering.
Bill Balzer has joined the development department of Laguna Hills-based Blytheco Inc. as a programmer/analyst.
Also, accountant Kenneth Hoi has been added to the support department.
Additionally, Janice Turner has joined the company’s sales and development team.
