DEFENSE
Gerald Janicki was named marketing director for environmental control systems at Irvine’s Meggitt Western Design, part of Fullerton’s Meggitt Defense Systems Inc., a unit of Britain’s Meggitt PLC. Meggitt Western Design specializes in the design, development and production of ammunition and environmental control systems for the Pentagon. Janicki brings expertise in business and program development, technology management and advanced concept development, as well as experience as an adviser to NASA and the Defense Department.
HEALTHCARE
Timothy Vo was named laboratory director at Irvine-based Ambry Genetics Corp. to oversee its molecular laboratory division. Prior to joining the company, Vo was laboratory director for Irvine-based Pathogenesys.
LAW
The Aliso Viejo firm of Higham, McConnell & Dunning LLP added Sam Wu to handle business and transactional law matters. Wu formerly was with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati.
MARKETING
The Skiver Group, a marketing firm in Irvine, named Kari Varga senior account executive. Varga previously was media account executive at Cox Communications Inc.
REAL ESTATE
Tim McSunas was appointed president of the Southern California division of Britain’s Taylor Woodrow Homes. McSunas previously was regional vice president at Los Angeles-based Pardee Homes and serves on the executive committee of the Orange County chapter of the Building Industry Assoc-iation as well as on the board of HomeAid.
Western National Property Management, part of Irvine-based Western National Group, added Michael Brown as regional vice president of property management. Brown previously was senior vice president of property management and director of property management for two Los Angeles-based developers.
