Hopkins Real Estate Group in Newport Beach named Gerald Don Sappington as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Sappington previously was a partner at Bel-Air Capital Partners LLC in Los Angeles.
Lake Forest-based Professional Community Management, which manages family and senior living communities, appointed Aliso Viejo resident Rene Decker to vice president, Lake Forest management services.
Argus Realty Investors LP, a real estate investment company based in San Juan Capistrano, named former Min-neapolis district court judge Barbara A. Halper as its chief operating officer.
SPORTS
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim hired Dennis Keane as premium ticketing manager. Keane joins the Ducks after serving in the same position for the Ameri-can Airlines Center and the Dallas Stars hockey club. The Mighty Ducks also promoted three workers: Sara Heri is now marketing representative; and Joseph Hwang and Jesse Tyler, previously interns for the team, are now sponsorship services representative and publicity and community relations representative, respectively.
TECHNOLOGY
TechNet Southern California in Newport Beach, part of the Silicon Valley-based national network of technology and business executives, named Douglas Farry its executive director. TechNet also added three new members: Jay Houlihan, managing partner, InnoCal Venture Capital in Costa Mesa; Doug Patton, founder, Patton Designs; and Walter Schindler, managing partner of Newport Beach-based Odyssey Venture Partners.
TOURISM
The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau appointed John Fuhr as its vice president of marketing. Fuhr’s career spans nearly 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently he was director of sales product development at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. of New York.
