APPAREL

Todd Scarborough, president of Anaheim-based Alstyle Apparel, was named corporate vice president of the apparel division at parent company Ennis Inc. Ennis bought Alstyle in 2004 for $242 million.

ARCHITECTURE

MBH Architects Inc. in Newport Beach added drafter Lisa Zigenis. Zigenis joins MBH Architects from Delphey Construction in Oakland where she worked as a drafter.

William Hezmalhalch Architects Inc. in Santa Ana promoted the following to senior associates: Sheila Cedervall, John English, Christopher Lee Koch and Mark Reardon. Maria Bueno-Dailey, Kevin Carroll, Kimberly Hankins, Richard Ortiz and Lili Sadeghi were appointed to associates.

AUTOMOTIVE

The Automobile Club of Southern California reappointed Susan Corrales-Diaz to its board. Corrales-Diaz is president and chief executive of Systems Integrated in Orange.

EDUCATION

Diana W. Guerin, professor of child adolescent studies, was elected to a one-year term as chair of California State University, Fullerton’s Academic Senate. She serves until May.

GOVERNMENT

President Bush appointed Sinan Kanatsiz, founder and chief executive of Kcomm to the Small Business Administration’s National Advisory Council. Kcomm is a San Clemente-based public relations, public affairs and Internet marketing company. Kanatsiz’s term is through March 2008.

HOTELS

The St. Regis Resort Monarch Beach appointed Frederic Castan as its new executive chef.

San Clemente-based hotel owner Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. promoted William M. Wagner to senior vice president and chief accounting officer. The company also named Marc A. Hoffman vice president of asset management.

The Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa named Gregor Clemens Kauffmann as chef de cuisine. Kauffmann, master chef, is responsible for the hotel’s culinary operations, including the dining room, room service, the hotel’s pizzeria and lounge.

LAW

Mathew Reynolds joined Irvine-based Kring and Chung LLP, where he is set to handle business litigation, personal injury and construction matters.

Michael A. Oswald of Irvine’s Oswald & Yap Attorneys at Law was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates, an association for trial lawyers.

MEDIA &

MARKETING

On-Site LaserMedic Corp., which provides services for digital printers, added Greg Hund to manage the Orange County region.

REAL ESTATE

Irvine-based Johnston Capital, a real estate investment banking and commercial mortgage brokerage, hired Paul Mogote to lead the company’s Dallas office.

Laguna Beach-based Kahl & Goveia, a real estate development, acquisition and management company, added retail real estate industry veteran Thomas E. McDonough as partner.

Newport Beach-based Capital Pacific Homes named real estate veteran Dave Geyer sales manager for Marsden, a new home development in the Menifee area.

Phoenix-based Abacus Project Management Inc., a construction management company, added Roger Johnson to its construction and litigation support services divisions at its Newport Beach office. Johnson joined the company as a senior cost estimator.

TECHNOLOGY

Newport Beach-based Tribeworks Inc., a maker of software that’s used by graphic artists and designers, appointed Andrew Berger to its board. Berger is vice president of Alien Technology Europe, a provider of RFID technologies.

TRAVEL

Joystar Inc., a travel agency in Aliso Viejo, named 19-year travel industry veteran Sandra D’Arcy chief operating officer.

Nancy Chontos joined Newport Beach-based Ambassadors LLC, a provider of travel and event management services for businesses, associations and tradeshows, as a senior account executive. Chontos is responsible for new business development and focuses primarily on California companies, specifically OC businesses and automakers.
