BIOTECHNOLOGY

Rudolf Jaenisch was named to the scientific advisory board at PrimeGen Biotech LLC in Irvine. Jaenisch is a founding member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research and is a biology professor for the Mas-sachusetts Institute of Technology. In March, Jaenisch received the 2007 Vilcek Foundation Prize for outstanding achievements in biomedical science.


DINING

Gary Murray was named general manager of Sapphire Laguna restaurant in Laguna Beach. Murray was recently director of banquets at Little Nell and was food and beverage manager at Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colo. Murray began working in food service 20 years ago in Switzerland.


ENGINEERING

Tait Environmental Services Inc. hired Thomas M. Mullin as vice president and general manager. He has spent 15 years in senior management positions and has earned a certification as a Quality Engineer by the American Society for Quality.

Fuscoe Engineering Inc. promoted Armen Emurian to project manager, Constanza Ramirez to project manager and Mike Ma to water resources manager. Emurian joined Fuscoe in 2005 and oversees street improvement, grading and drainage design in masterplanned communities. Ramirez recently joined the Fuscoe from Hall & Foreman Inc. and now leads a design team focused on commercial and industrial projects. Ma joined Fuscoe five years ago and focuses on master-planning studies for development projects.


FINANCE

Morgan Christen was named vice president of the wealth management group of Signature Resources Insurance and Financial Services Inc. in Irvine. Morgan has 14 years of experience in the financial services industry and recently was head of Dolphin Securities Inc. of Newport Beach.


LAW

Attorney Susan Matsui Matsuda joined Rutan & Tucker LLP as a partner in the firm’s real estate section. Matsuda recently practiced real estate, corporate and general business law at Sheppard, Mullin, Rich-ter & Hampton LLP. She is a member of the Orange County Japan-ese-American Lawyers Association and the Japanese American Bar Association.


NONPROFIT

Jamboree Housing Corp. in Irvine named Deborah Fryman communications and marketing manager. Fryman was president of Keep Inc., a video production company in Culver City. Thomas Scheers joined the company as chief financial officer and has 20 years of experience in real estate and housing finance. Before Jamboree Housing, Scheers was chief financial officer for Argus Realty Investors LP. He also headed a private consulting practice in Manhattan Beach.

The Maternal Outreach Management System named three members to its board. Sandra Membrila-Robbie wrote and produced an Emmy-winning documentary relating to the Mendez vs. Westminster case and is a diversity speaker. Shari E. McCloskey is an assistant vice president and corporate counsel for St. Joseph Health System in Orange. Shannon L. Hall is an independent financial planner and focuses on planned giving, estate planning and fiduciary asset management.


MANUFACTURING

Premier Mounts in Anaheim promoted Tiffany Dozier-Houck to director of sales, Terry Baker to national sales manager-retail and Natalie Barker to Western regional sales manager. Dozier-Houck joined Premier Mounts in 1996 and recently was national sales manager. Baker began working at the company in 2004 as Western regional sales manager. Prior to her promotion, Barker was Western district sales manager.


REAL ESTATE

Kenneth R. Di Scipio joined the Newport Beach office of Grubb & Ellis Co. as managing director, corporate services. Di Scipio has 12 years of experience in U.S. and international corporate real estate services management. He also founded Di Scipio & Associates and held corporate services and management positions at CB Richard Ellis Group Inc.

Barry Gail and Rich Essen joined Costa Mesa-based Orion Property Partners as partners. Essen and Gail spent the past 25 years with Cushman & Wakefield Inc. They specialize in landlord and tenant representation practices and have represented office space valued in excess of $1 billion.


TECHNOLOGY

Jim Connolly joined Kettley Publishing Co. in Newport Beach as director of software development. Connolly has more than 15 years of experience with diverse information technology and management roles. He has led development of complex software projects for companies such as Union Bank of California.

Aliso Viejo-based Networks in Motion Inc. hired David Shimoni as senior vice president of worldwide sales. Shimoni recently was president at Mobixell Inc. and was vice president, wireless sales, for Comverse Inc.
