Janet Anderson joined HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors in Tustin as a tax manager. Anderson specializes in public accounting and preparing estate, fiduciary and nonprofit returns. She has additional experience with business startups, transfers, dissolutions and valuations.
RSM McGladrey Inc. hired Erika Coniglio as director of business development in its Irvine office. Coniglio is responsible for growing South-ern California practices: audit and assurance ser-vices, tax services and business advisory services.

Christine Sudut was promoted to account executive at Estey-Hoover Advertising & Public Relations in Newport Beach. Sudut began working at the agency as an intern and most recently was an account coordinator. She also managed a private investigations firm. Sudut is responsible for placement and tracking of print media and assists on major accounts.
EDUCATION
The Irvine Public Schools Foundation named Anila Ali, Michael Halpern and Robin Lubitz to its board of trustees. Ali is an English teacher at Will Rogers Middle School and is a member of the Council of Pakistan American Affairs. Halpern formerly was associate vice president of development for the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Lubitz is on the Dean’s Leadership Council for University of California, Irvine’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts.
Rancho Santiago Com-munity College District named Donald Mahany assistant dean of fire technology at Santa Ana College. Mahany will be responsible for planning and delivery of the fire technology programs at the college. Santa Ana College has the only fire technology program in Orange County and its program is the largest in the state.
EMPLOYMENT
Daniel Kim joined Real Estate Talent Solutions as a director. He specializes in recruiting and staffing for real estate accounting and information technology positions. Kim most recently was senior corporate recruiter at CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. He will be based in the Newport Beach office.
HOTELS
The Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach hired Michael Doyle as banquet chef. Most recently, Doyle was banquet chef at the Beverly Hills Hilton. He has managed culinary production for the Golden Globe Awards.
INSURANCE
John Dacquisto joined Santa Ana-based PrideMark-Everest Insurance Services, part of Leavitt Group Enterprises, as an agent. Dacquisto specializes in trucking, construction, property owners and warehouse and distribution accounts. He also is a designated construction risk and insurance specialist.
LAW
Rutan & Tucker LLP added Robert Pittman as an attorney in its public law section in Costa Mesa. Pittman has worked as an assistant city attorney for the cities of Beverly Hills, Diamond Bar, Monrovia and West Hollywood. Before pursuing a legal career, Pittman was an assistant city planner with the city of Artesia.
MARKETING
Specialized Marketing Services Inc. in Santa Ana promoted Joe Invidiata to director of client services and added Dina El-Farra as customer service manager. Keith Arnold was hired as director of marketing analytics. Invidiata will manage and develop client and customer service teams. El-Farra previously worked at Time Warner Cable Inc. and Comcast Corp. Arnold most recently was director of marketing analytics at Money Mailer LLC.
REAL ESTATE
Coreland Cos. named Cynthia Swanson regional real estate manager in charge of its new office in Brea. She formerly was a manager in Coreland’s Tustin office. She specializes in physical operations, tenant relations and construction management.
The Irvine office of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. promoted Thomas Murphy to senior vice president. Murphy specializes in office leasing in the airport area. He previously was named broker of the year by Irvine Company.
Charlie Kennedy rejoined Sperry Van Ness as senior vice president. In 2004 Kennedy launched his own firm after working for Sperry Van Ness for six years. Kennedy has completed transactions valued at more than $1 billion. Susan Doan, Patrick DiCaprio and Lacee Rashi also were added to Kennedy’s division in the Irvine office.
