ARCHITECTURE

Greenberg Farrow Architecture appointed Sabry S. Abdelmalik civil engineer and project manager. Abdelmalik will work out of Greenberg’s Tustin office.

Perlman Architects Inc. promoted Douglas Ahlstrom from vice president to chief operating officer. Ahlstrom will be responsible for overseeing the Newport Beach office, as well as the Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Ariz., offices.

Craig Williamson was promoted to associate principal at GAA Architects Inc. in Irvine. Williamson previously served as director of project management.

AUTOMOTIVE

Kenneth Nishida was named retail brand image manager with the auto unit of American Suzuki Motor Corp. Nishida will work out of the company’s headquarters in Brea.

CONSTRUCTION

Roel Construction Co. hired Wendy Ballam as project coordinator, Brent Jones as project manager and Michael Gutierrez as superintendent. They will work out of the Irvine office.

ELECTRONICS

ITT Industries, Cannon in Santa Ana appointed David Bland vice president and controller. Bland came to Cannon from Flextronics International Ltd., where he served as senior vice president of finance and administration.

ENGINEERING

Irvine-based Fuscoe Engineering Inc. ap-pointed J.T. Yean head of its new watershed management unit.

Fred Wickman was named senior project manager for Berryman & Henigar in Santa Ana.

Elizabeth Weese-Wise was named director, marketing and business development, for Gouvis Engineering Consulting Group Inc. in Newport Beach.

FINANCE

Doug Sherman joined Tustin-based Sunwest Bank as executive vice president and chief credit officer. Sherman comes to Sunwest with 34 years of banking experience.

GOVERNMENT

The Children and Families Commission of Orange County elected Kimberly Chavalas Cripe as chairwoman. Julie Poulson was named vice chair.

HEALTHCARE

Charline Gauthier joined Irvine-based IntraLase Corp. as vice president of research, development and corporate affairs.

LAW

Valisa A. Carney joined the Irvine office of Freeman, Freeman & Smiley LLP as an associate. She will work in the firm’s estate planning and charitable and business planning practice groups.

MANUFACTURING

Anaheim-based Junckers Harwood, a maker and distributor of hardwood flooring, added Margaret Redmond as commercial sales specialist for Southern California.

NONPROFIT

Newport Beach-based Project Access, which provides health, education and enrichment programs to residents in affordable housing communities, appointed Gail Bangcaras executive director. Bangcaras has worked with nonporfit organizations and done fundraising for more than twelve years.

The Orange County Performing Arts Center named Brian Finck chief financial officer. Finck previously served as controller and has been with the center since 1995. Kerry Madden was promoted to vice president, theater operations. In addition, Madden is project manager for the center’s expansion project. The center also elected two new members to the board: David G. Moore, chief executive of Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges Inc., and Dan Werbin, executive director of Ford Motor Co.’s Irvine-based Premier Automotive Group.

REAL ESTATE

Andrea R. Roess has been appointed vice president of Newport Beach-based David Taussig and Associates Inc. Roess will provide public finance and urban economics consulting services for the firm’s public and private sector clients.

SERVICES

Orange-based Western Dental Services Inc., a provider of dental and orthodontic care, ap-pointed Wayne Butts senior vice president and chief sales officer.

Gregory S. Lynds was named chief development officer for Huntington Beach-based Chicago Pizza & Brewery Inc., the operator of BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery.
