Tustin-based Rankin Group Ltd. named Roger Giese public relations specialist. Previously, Giese was president of PRSSA at Chapman University.


ARCHITECTURE

MBH Architects, Newport Beach, added seven architects to the studio: David Lacey was named director of quality assurance and operations; Sal Serpico, Mohan Pradhan, and Emad Michael, as senior project managers; Ning Chang and Samuel Saludo were named senior designers, and Milford Moralde was hired as a project coordinator. The firm specializes in hospitality, retail housing, commercial office interiors, laboratories and recreational facilities.


BANKING AND FINANCE

Sharon Fisher joined the real estate industries group of Sanwa Bank California’s Orange County office as vice president/senior relationship manager. Previously, Fisher was vice president in the real estate industries groups for both Wells Fargo Bank and Union Bank of California. She will be based in the firm’s Newport Beach office.


HEALTHCARE

SK & A; Information Services Inc. announced the following promotions: Ramiro Tavares, director of accounting; Lian Hu, accountant I. They are based in the firm’s Irvine office.


HOSPITALITY

The Center Club, Costa Mesa, promoted Lorraine Grassmann to membership director. Grassmann will be responsible for introducing the organization’s activities and events to professionals and corporate groups.

Michael Krouse, assistant director of sales for Hilton Anaheim, has taken on the additional duties of overseeing sales to national associations in order to bring conventions and meetings to the hotel. In addition, sales manager Justine Teats took over the large meetings sales market for California and the Pacific Northwest. The hotel also promoted Nan Oaxaca to assistant director of human resources.


INSURANCE

Marsh, Newport Beach, named Stephen Hobbs and Trindl Reeves managing directors. Hobbs has been with the firm since 1992 and leads the client executive and sales practices group. Reeves is senior client executive and regional technology practice leader. Both will continue to be based in the firm’s Newport Beach office.


LAW

Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue’s Irvine office admitted Mark D. Kemple to the partnership. Kemple, who joined the firm in 1996, is a member of the litigation group and the general litigation practice of the firm.

Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP elected Louis C. Cullman and Kevin W. Kirsh to partners in its Orange County office. Cullman will focus on patents for biotechonology, in vitro medical devices, vaccines, immunotherapeutic agents and technology licensing. Kirsh will focus on intellectual property and business litigation.

Robert E. Duginger was named shareholder of Bullivant Houser Bailey PC. The 20-year veteran is based in the firm’s Irvine office.

Klinedinst, Fliehman & McKillop, Santa Ana, hired three associates: Bronwyn E. Billings, Javier Van Oordt and Kristin Johnson. Billings was previously vice president and general counsel for Acucorp Inc., while Oordt comes to the firm from Carl R. Stevens & Associates. Johnson was previously with Walsh & Furcolo LLP.

Fisher & Phillips LLP hired Terri Parker as director of communications for the firm’s Irvine office. Previously, Parker was communications director for the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.


ORGANIZATIONS

Jack R. Sanders, senior associate of Laguna Hills-based Spectrum Corporate Resources, was elected to the board of directors of the International Business Brokers Association. The Chicago-based global association for business intermediaries sponsors national education programs and conferences.


RETAIL

Ed Hernandez joined Trammell Crow Co., Irvine, as senior investment analyst. He comes to the firm from Pacific Gulf Properties. Hernandez will be responsible for the production of all offering memoranda.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car named Howard Puterman vice president, southern area. Puterman will oversee rental operations throughout the Southland, including Orange County.


TECHNOLOGY

Anaheim-based Interstate Electronics Corp. announced the following promotions: Carlos Cardon, vice president of engineering and technology; Robert Huffman, vice president of marketing and sales; and Steve Jungers, vice president of strategic business development. The firm is a supplier of critical test instrumentation and missile tracking systems for the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Ballilstic Missile weapons systems.

Wirestone announced the following appointments: Stephanie Zionts, director of the interactive services department; Cheryl Inbody, director of account services; George Moaward, account executive. They will be based at the firm’s Costa Mesa office. Zionts comes from Man Rabbit House, where she was a senior producer. Previously, Moaward was with RiechesBaird.

Cycle 23 Inc., Newport Beach, named Grace L. Decker president and CEO. Previously, she was president and COO of Cosmetic Therapeutics.

Geneva Systems Inc., Anaheim, added Paul Gardner to the executive sales staff. The firm is a provider of automated data collection applications.


TRANSPORTATION

Orange County Transportation Authority board of directors announced the following appointments: Irvine City Councilman Mike Ward, chairman; Third District County Supervisor Todd Spitzer, vice chairman; Buena Park Mayor Art Brown, board member; Anaheim City Councilwoman Shirley McCracken alternate board member. OCTA, the county’s primary transportation planning agency, oversees the development and implementation of unified transportation programs and services for Orange County.
