Crabtree will provide tax planning, consulting research and compliance services for companies, individuals and nonprofits. Crabtree began his career at the Internal Revenue Service and practiced law before working in public accounting. He is a member of the State Bar of California.

Stuart Bernstein joined Union Bank NA as market president for Orange County and Inland Empire retail banking. Bernstein will work in the Orange office. Prior, he was market president for Wells Fargo & Co.

Irvine-based Attivo Group Inc., a provider of business application software and consulting services, hired Will Breiholz as vice president of business development. Breiholz previously was general manager at BQE Software Inc. in Torrance.

JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano named Frank Talarico Jr. president and chief executive. Talarico previously was vice president of institutional advancement for Servite High School in Anaheim.

Employment screening company HireRight Inc. of Irvine, part of Virginia’s US Investigations Services LLC, promoted Glen Schrank to president and chief executive. Prior, he was vice president of worldwide sales.

Hoag Memorial Presbyter-ian Hospital in Newport Beach promoted Robert Braithwaite to chief administrative officer of its Irvine campus. He previously was Hoag’s senior executive responsible for the Hoag Hospital Irvine development and transition.

Costa Mesa-based McKasson & Klein LLP named Micha & #235;l Fischer partner. Fischer has experience in corporate transactions, business litigation, employment and maritime law.
Thomas Whitelaw & Tyler LLP named Brian Arnold a partner in its Irvine office. Arnold practices intellectual property litigation and has experience in patent infringement litigation in a variety of technological areas.
The Irvine office of Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps LLP named Mark Krietzman and Peter Gluck partners. They previously were shareholders at Greenberg Traurig LLP. Krietzman is a patent attorney who specializes in technology law. Gluck is an intellectual property lawyer who focuses on patent procurement, policing and intellectual property portfolio management issues.

Santa Ana-based Goodwill of Orange County added Greg Gluchowski to its board. Gluchowski is vice president of global operations at Black & Decker Corp.’s hardware and home improvement group in Lake Forest.
Alzheimer’s Family Services Center in Huntington Beach named Diana Murphy a board member. She is a principal at Rossetti Architects, which has an office in Newport Beach, and has experience in interior planning, design and project management. Murphy helped plan and design the Staples Center and Nokia Theatre at LA Live and the Los Angeles Clippers’ corporate offices.

Santa Ana-based First American Corp. added John Peace to its board. Peace also is chairman of Experian Group Ltd., Bur-berry Group PLC and is acting chairman of Standard Chartered PLC.

Triathlete Joanna Zeiger joined Aliso Viejo-based American Sporting Goods Inc.’s Avia team of professional athletes. A native of San Diego, Zeiger was fourth at the Sydney Olympics triathlon as has placed as high as fifth at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Local.com Corp. hired Brenda Aguis as chief financial officer. Aguis is founder of Private Asset Management Group, which provided financial consulting and investment management services.
OriginOil Inc., which is developing a technology that transforms algae into fuel, added Irvine resident Adam Meislik to its board. Meislik is founder of Irvine-based Onionomics LLC, a consulting company.
TRANSPORTATION
The Orange County Transportation Authority board promoted Jim Kenan from executive director of finance and administration to interim chief executive.
