APPAREL

Hawk Skate Clothing, a division of Huntington Beach-based apparel maker Quiksilver Inc., named skateboarder Rodney Johnson to head the development of an all-star youth skate team. The Tony Hawk Skate Team is set to star young amateur riders and is aimed at supporting and promoting the sport and the Quiksilver brand.

COMPUTER

IOGear Inc. appointed Lewis Lustman to direct its marketing campaigns. He will be responsible for overseeing marketing activity and promoting the company’s campaign targeted at small office/home office computer products users. Lustman has worked as a marketing manager for several technology companies.

CONSTRUCTION

Builder and developer Snyder Langston of Irvine hired William J. Romay as risk manager. Romay will manage activities related to risk management and safety, monitor the company’s risk management techniques, including overseeing the company’s commercial insurance program.

FINANCE

Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union appointed Dana Schuller vice president of its branches. In this position, Schuller will oversee branches in Santa Ana, Placentia, Cypress, Anaheim, Huntington Beach as well as at California State University, Fullerton. She previously worked at Kinecta Federal Credit Union.

LAW

Trial lawyer Anthony C. Duffy opened the Duffy Law Firm in Newport Beach. The firm will focus on corporate, real estate, securities, intellectual property and environmental litigation. Duffy previously was a partner at Lee, Goddard & Duffy LLP.

MANAGEMENT

Mike Packard was selected president of Aliso Viejo-based Seabreeze Management Co. Packard recently had served as president of Charles Dunn Real Estate Services. He has 25 years experience in the community management and real estate industries. He is national president of the Community Associations Institute and its research foundation.

Innovative Management Solutions Inc. of Newport Beach promoted Charles “Chip” Pospisil to vice president, professional services.

MARKETING

Arlene Garfield was appointed office coordinator for the Peterson Group in Newport Beach. She has more than 10 years of sales management and administrative experience. She will be responsible for facility operations, safety procedures, office material acquisition, travel coordination, reception, internal archiving and meeting coordination.

NONPROFIT

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Orange County Chapter added two new staff members. Amanda McDorman is the group’s new program manager. Erin Riley is program coordinator. In their roles, they will help organize and run the programs the chapter offers to persons with multiple sclerosis and their families.

California Health Decisions, a healthcare nonprofit, appointed two new members to its board. Dexanne Clohan and Howard Strom, both medical doctors, were named to three-year posts. Clohan is the national medical accounts director for Aetna Inc. in Santa Ana. Strom was most recently medical director for Arco Products Co.

PLANNING

Nan Richardson was named vice president marketing and business development for H. Hendy Associates, the Irvine-based commercial interior and planning company. She is charged with increasing Hendy’s business relationships with hotels, restaurants and medical facilities.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

Aquent, a global professional service firm, appointed Jeni Altuna director, responsible for developing the company’s outsourcing business in Orange County and the rest of Southern California. Altuna was president for Spotlight Enterprises Inc., which specializes in education materials.
