BUSINESS SERVICES

Dora Taylor has joined the Costa Mesa offices of IA as project manager. Taylor has 12 years of experience in architecture and interiors.

Money Mailer has promoted John Patinella to vice president of franchise development. Patinella, formerly the president of Money Mailer of the Midwest, will oversee the corporate office in Garden Grove.

Ken Smith has been hired as retail unit manager for Carter & Burgess. Before joining the company, Smith was the director of design for MCG Architects.

Chip Lawton has been promoted to regional manager for the Southwest region of Amtech Lighting Services. Lawton has been with Amtech for 13 years.

Edward Collins has joined !Suppli Corp. as vice president of supply chain and procurement services. Collins recently was vice president for business development for UPS Logistics Group.

Arthur Andersen has hired Scott Jones as senior manager for its risk consulting practice. Jones recently transferred from the firm’s Dallas site to its Irvine office. Beth Kaplan also has joined the Irvine office of Arthur Andersen to help lead an expansion of the company’s finance business solutions practice.


CONSTRUCTION

Andrew L. Youngquist Construction Inc. has hired David MacKay as its new project scheduling engineer. Most recently, MacKay worked for S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., where he worked as an engineer on Walt Disney Co.’s California Adventure park.


EDUCATION

The Blind Children’s Learning Center has hired Carolyn White as director of development. White is a member of the board of directors of the Planned Giving Roundtable.


ENGINEERING

Doug Abramson, Mark Anderson, Larry Todd, Larry Gallery and Steven Huff have been named senior vice presidents in the Irvine office of RBF Consulting. Steve Bein, Glenn Lajoie and Kevin Thomas were appointed vice presidents in the Irvine office.

Kennedy/Jenks Consultants has hired Robert Logan III. Logan, a practicing geologist with more than 14 years of experience in assessment and remediation, will join the firm’s Irvine office.


GOVERNMENT

The Local Agency Formation Commission has elected Susan Wilson chairwoman. Wilson has been a public member of LAFCO since May 1996.

Marcia Wilson has joined Leisure World Laguna Woods social services department as manager.


HEALTHCARE

Stuart Ostfeld has been promoted to executive director of Aegis of Laguna Niguel. Ostfeld, the former assisted living director at Aegis, will oversee the management of the Laguna Niguel operation.


HOSPITALITY

The American Hotel Foundation has named Jim Burba consultant chairman for the New Century Fund campaign. Burba is vice president and director of advisory services at Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo.


HUMAN RESOURCES

Philip Beaudoin, Valerio Giannini, Kenneth Henderson, James Orth, Gregory Schneider and Beth Adkisson joined Lee Hecht Harrison’s new executive resource board in Irvine.


LAW

Irell & Manella appointed five partners to its 16-member executive committee: Elliot Brown, David Gindler, Sandra Kanengiser, Kyle Kawakami and C. Kevin McGeehan.

John DeZee and Robert King joined Payne & Fears LLP as associates.

Kring & Brown named Sue Park, John Blakely and Nanette Beaumont associates in the Irvine office.


TECHNOLOGY

Santa Ana-based ITT Industries, Cannon appointed David Myers vice president and director, human resources. Myers will be responsible for the firm’s HR worldwide. Previously, the 30-year HR veteran was vice president and director of administration for the pumps and equipment division of ITT.
