ACCOUNTING

Grant Thornton LLP, the U.S. unit of Grant Thornton International, added Larry Rosipajla as director of economic advisory services at the firm’s Irvine office.

BANKING

Stacy Gorgie was named branch manager at the new Comerica Bank branch at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Gorgie formerly was manager at the Fountain Valley branch of Downey Savings and Loan. Comerica Bank is a unit of Detroit-based Comerica Inc.

EDUCATION

St. Mary’s School in Aliso Viejo named Shawna Rhebergen to the newly formed position of director of communications.

EMPLOYMENT

Costa Mesa-based Resources Connection Inc. hired the following people: Rima Abusamra and Lori Klasner as directors of client service; Firouzeh Farmand and Jennifer Leathers as directors of recruiting; and Nikki Nguyen as director of legal services for the Orange County office.

ENGINEERING

Ray Hooshmand was added as senior engineer at Newport Beach-based Boyle Engineer-ing Corp. Hooshmand most recently was with the Las Vegas Valley Water District.

FINANCE

Chicago Title Corp., a unit of Fidelity National Financial Inc., appointed Eric Burkhart as vice president of major accounts for the Southern California division at its Irvine office.

HEALTHCARE

Maria Wahab, outreach and enrollment program manager for the healthy families program at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, was elected chairman of the Orange County Certified Application Assistors Task Force.

LAW

Costa Mesa-based Rutan and Tucker LLP hired Jessica Blanche as marketing coordinator. Blanche formerly was at Richards, Watson & Gershon LLP.

Amanda E. Manahan was named senior associate at the Newport Beach office of Spach, Capaldi & Waggaman LLP.

MANUFACTURING

Vicki Chuck was named vice president of global human resources, Bryan Ball was added as vice president of global supply chain and Sharon Vessels was named product manager of connector products at San Juan Capistrano-based Fluidmaster Inc.

MARKETING

Aliso Viejo-based Convergence.net, which provides Internet-based marketing, ticketing and registration for events and venues, named John Capano vice president of its newly created business development unit. Capano formerly was a partner at Mead, Coen and Pure LLC, a Los Angeles-based entertainment marketing agency.

REAL ESTATE

Matt Regan was named vice president and director of marketing at the Irvine headquarters of CIP Real Estate, an investment and management company. Regan previously was president and chief executive of R & R; Real Estate Inc., which he founded.
