ACCOUNTING

Arthur McDaniel joined Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP in Irvine as principal in charge of quality control. McDaniel has 35 years of tax experience in public accounting, law firms and the Internal Revenue Service. He previously headed the tax group of Lobb Cliff & Lester LLP.


CONSTRUCTION

Bruce A. Nelson was hired at McCarthy Building Cos. as vice president of business development. He will manage the Southern California division from McCarthy’s Newport Beach office. Nelson has 27 years of experience in construction and has worked as development project manager, project executive and vice president.


CONSULTING

Iger & Associates Government Interface Consultants promoted Christopher Reese to executive vice president. Reese is a member of the Building Industry Association of Southern California and Urban Land Institute Orange County District Council.


ENGINEERING

Christopher Yu joined Psomas water and wastewater infrastructure group in Costa Mesa. Yu is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a registered professional engineer


HEALTHCARE

Alpine Biomed Corp. in Fountain Valley named John Arnott as chief executive. He previously was a senior vice president at Hospira Inc. Arnott has more than 20 years experience in healthcare.

Apria Healthcare Group Inc. named Peter A. Reynolds chief accounting officer and controller. Reynolds previously worked for Foothill Ranch-based Skilled HealthCare Group Inc. as senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

Skilled Healthcare Group, a nursing home operator, promoted Chris Felfe to senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. Felfe was previously controller of the company.

Irvine-based Paragon Biomedical Inc. added Marianne Plaunt as vice president of global data operations and Nfii Ndikintum as director of global biostatistics and SAS programming.


LAW

Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps LLP added Jennifer R. McClure as special counsel and Lisa J. Holmes and Jennifer Wood Dienhart as associates. All three previously worked at Nossaman Guthner Knox and Elliot LLP and will work in Irvine.

Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP hired Sam Talpalatsky as of counsel. He was previously chief intellectual property counsel at Conexant Systems Inc., the Newport Beach chipmaker.


MANUFACTURING

Dan Avila joined Zone 4 Material Handling Specialists Inc. as vice president of sales. He has 20 years of experience in supply chain and distribution operations. Avila is a member of the Warehouse, Education and Research Council.


NONPROFIT

Newport Beach-based Forum for Corporate Directors elected new directors and officers. John Rehfeld was re-elected chairman, Ben Frydman was re-elected secretary and Alexander Marr was elected treasurer and director. Other directors are Karen Gifford, Peter Hursh, Ann Jones and Brenda Schowalter.


REAL ESTATE

Virginia Howard joined Staubach Co. as senior project manager for the design and construction consulting services group in Orange County. Previously, Howard was a project manager with CB Richard Ellis Group Inc.

Santa Ana’s Triple Net Properties LLC hired Lavea Lancaster as vice president of national accounts. She recently worked for DBSI Group of Cos. Zachary Toering joined Triple Net Properties as vice president of national accounts. Toering was previously broker-dealer operations manager and chief compliance officer of NNN Capital Corp.

Bixby Land Co. in Irvine added Thomas Purcell to its board. Purcell is cofounder and president of Spring Creek Investors LLC. He is a current trustee of the ICSC Educational Foundation, part of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Huntington Beach-based Exit Beach Cities Realty added Melinda Harris as broker associate. Harris previously was manager of Exit Elite Properties of Newport Beach.


TECHNOLOGY

Powerwave Technologies Inc. named Khurram P. Sheikh chief product and development officer. Previously, Sheikh was vice president, wireless strategy and development for Time Warner Cable.

D-Link Systems Inc. in Fountain Valley promoted Tom Paterniti to vice president of distribution and business development. He has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing management and was previously vice president of business development.

Orange-based 8e6 Technologies added Luis Curet as vice president of sales. Previously, he was senior vice president at El Segundo-based Clearpath Networks Inc. Curet has 25 years experience in technology sales and marketing for companies such as IBM Corp. and Rainbow Technologies, now part of Baltimore-based SafeNet Inc.

Fast Forward Video named Hal J. Reisiger president and chief executive. He previously spent four years as president of Enhanced Vision Systems. While there, Reisiger won accolades for innovative digital optical magnification systems.
