LETTER
Gray Davis
Gov. Gray Davis is suddenly dancing to a new tune in hopes of showing his better side to the public crowd poised to recall him.
Seems he needs a catchy hit campaign song.
Fleetwood Mac lent presidential candidate Bill Clinton their “Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow” song for his campaign and maybe they can lend Davis their latest hit: “Say you will (give me one more chance).”
Not that the people will. I doubt the smiles and kissing of babies will work for him this time.

In these times of budget crisis in California, it is hard to believe that the state Legislature would budget $4 million on a think tank dedicated to organized labor, under the guise of the University of California Labor Institute. This entity was created in 2000, with backing from the California Labor Federation, and has received a total of $17 million in the last three budgets signed by Gov. Davis.
Is it any surprise now that this think tank is actually planning to conduct media and communications workshops for union hacks who will be opposing the Davis recall?
