Kimberley Chen Nobles and R. Scott Feldmann were named to the list of Best Lawyers in America 2008. Both work at Crowell & Moring’s Irvine office. Nobles is a partner in the firm’s intellectual property and international groups and represents technology companies worldwide. Feldmann’s litigation practice focuses on e-commerce, technology law and trade secrets.

Joanna Hutching of Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP received the Associate of the Year Award from the Building Industry Association of Southern California. The award recognizes high business and ethical standards and overall contribution to the homebuilding industry. Hutching works in the law firm’s Irvine office.

Steve Sprenger completed the logistics certification program at Grubb & Ellis Co. Sprenger is senior vice president at the brokerage’s Anaheim office. The program equips brokerage professionals with knowledge and skills to assist corporate and third-party logistics clients.

PlaceWright Design Studio at William Hezmalhalch Architects received the STEP Inside Design Reader’s Choice Award for the logo design of Teac Structural Engineering. The logo is among 100 chosen out of more than 3,000 entries. Voting for the top five finalists will continue through January.

Developers Research became the first in the U.S. to be certified in managerial consulting services for land development by the International Organization for Standardization. The firm provides real estate owners, investors, developers and builders with financial evaluation services. It is based in Irvine.

Jim and Susan Swenson were named 2007 Outstanding Philanthropists for OC. The Swensons made a multimillion-dollar commitment to Mission Hospital for the purchase of a linear accelerator to aid in treating cancer with external radiation. The couple also made a gift that helped build a pediatric operating pavilion at Mission Hospital.

Newmeyer & Dillion LLP in Newport Beach was recognized with the 2007 Spotlight award for Most Involved Associate Member Company by the OC chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California. The award recognized Newmeyer & Dillion’s involvement in BIA/OC’s educational, social, sponsorship and administrative activities in the past year.

The OC Council, Boy Scouts of America honored David O. Team with the Good Scout Award. Team is president of LNR Property Corp., commercial property group. In this capacity he manages all of LNR’s buys of commercial property and land in the U.S.

San Clemente-based Pencilbox Studios received the Black Book AR100 award, which honors the design of annual reports, for the Little Company of Mary Foundation’s 2006 Annual Report. Judges selected the annual report, along with 99 others, from hundreds of candidates. Pencilbox Studios is a design, imagery and marketing company.

RBF Consulting, the county of Orange, the city of Laguna Beach and LSA Associates Inc. came in second place in the Road Category at the eighth annual Globe Awards, which honor public-private partnerships and manufacturers involved in road, bridge, airport and mass transit building. These awards are sponsored by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation.

Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle received the 2007 Mobility 21 Transportation Award. Pringle was given the award based on his involvement on California’s High Speed Rail Commission and work on the development of the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center.

The Caliber Media Group was selected for two Silver Davey Awards. The first was for excellence in logo creation and design for OC-based Norsk and the second was for outstanding Web design for gourmet caterer Cr & #269;me de la Cr & #269;me Foods.

Trend Offset Printing in Los Alamitos received a Wrap award for excellence in waste prevention and recycling activities. The California plant underwent a rigorous evaluation process by the Waste Reduction Awards Program.

Fourteen local landscape contractors were honored by the OC chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association. They were: Visionscape Inc., So Cal Concepts Inc., Marina Landscape Inc., Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction Inc., Stewarts Landscaping Inc., Tierra Verde Landscape Inc., Land Mechanics Inc., Mission Landscape Services Inc., Wade Landscape, Richard Taylor & Associates Inc., Aaron Landscape Inc., Emerald Landscape Services Inc., Illumiscapes Total Land Care and Marc Mason Landscape Services.






Hare: received 2007 Lifetime Achievement Case Bradford Award


Lifetime Achievement


Jackie Hare was given the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Case Bradford Award. The annual award honors an individual devoted to the Diamond Bar-based Home Builders Council of Southern California and the building industry as a whole. Hare is president of J.L. Hare Associates. She has been on the Home Builders Council board and co-chaired its scholarship committee.
