Aliso Viejo-based Kanakaris Wireless has signed a letter of intent to acquire the Los Angeles Film School.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kanakaris operates the AK.TV channel viewable on Pocket PCs, the CinemaPop.com online movie site and the WordPop.com online book site.
The film school occupies six floors of the former RCA building on Sunset Boulevard, and includes film and HDTV production facilities, a recording studio, editing facilities, classrooms and a stadium-style theater.
Kanakaris said the school will operate as a separate division of the company, which will move its financial officer and several Internet and electronic service employees to the Sunset Boulevard facility
