Quiksilver Inc. has enlisted France’s Inter Parfums SA to develop perfumes and cosmetics for the Huntington Beach-based surfwear maker.
The companies said they plan to come out with a perfume for Quiksilver’s Roxy brand for girls and young women by 2007. Sun creams and other products under the Quiksilver name are set to follow.
Terms of the pact weren’t disclosed.
The move is part of Quiksilver’s effort to create “lifestyle” brands that go beyond clothes inspired by surfing, skateboarding and other sports.
Inter Parfums SA is part of New York’s Inter Parfums Inc. and sells fragrances, makeup and skin care products.
