Iceye, a Finnish satellite maker with a growing U.S. base in Irvine, said today it had closed a $136 million series D funding round, led by long-standing investor Seraphim Space.
With the latest funding round, Iceye has raised a total of $304 million in financing since 2015.
Iceye owns and operates what it says is the world’s largest constellation of SAR satellites, which can see through clouds and darkness.Â
The company has successfully launched 16 satellite missions in total since its first-ever spacecraft was placed into orbit four years ago.
Its subsidiary, Iceye US, launched its first satellite built in Irvine last month. The local facility opened in March of last year.
