Hotel Information Systems, a division of Irvine-based MAI Systems, last week introduced Paragon+, a new version of its property-management software. The new version simplifies use of the software’s menu options and navigation and provides easier access to the Internet and other business applications. Hospitality clients using the company’s property management software include LaQuinta Inns and Cavanaughs Hospitality Corp.
The company hopes the updated software will give a boost to its hospitality revenue, which dropped to $7.0 million in 1999 from $7.75 million in 1998. MAI is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol NOW, where it hovered around the 1 mark last week, well below its 52-week high of 4.
