Future of Farmers Bros. in Doubt

A personal tragedy at Torrance’s Farmer Brothers Co. could put the coffee company in play. Chairman and Chief Executive Roy E. Farmer, a resident of Huntington Beach, died Jan. 7 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Now the company could be put up for sale, according to a report in The Deal.
