For fiscal 2000, Bergen posted earnings before special charges of $80.3 million and a net loss of $752.8 million on revenue of $22.94 billion, compared with earnings before special charges of $112.2 million and earnings of $70.6 million on revenue of $20.19 billion in fiscal 1999. The charges include a $505 million fourth-quarter goodwill charge related to Bergen’s April 1999 purchase of PharMerica.
Santa Ana-based First American Corp. reported earnings of $24.4 million on revenue of $750.3 million for the third calendar quarter, compared with earnings of $28.0 million on revenue of $775.1 million for the third quarter last year. For the nine months ended Sept. 30, the company reported earnings of $50.4 million on revenue of $2.17 billion, compared with earnings of $90.9 million on revenue of $2.29 billion for the 1999 period.
ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc., Costa Mesa, reported earnings of $36.6 million on revenue of $207.3 million in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with earnings of $31.8 million on revenue of $181.7 million in the prior third quarter.
