Vehicle tracking and logistics company CalAmp said today that an investor group that includes ex-CEO Michael Burdiek has nominated six director candidates as a majority slate to stand for election to the CalAmp board of directors at the company’s 2022 annual meeting.
Burdiek served as chief executive officer of CalAmp (Nasdaq: CAMP) until 2020. Garo Sarkissian, who is also part of the investor group,
served as the company’s senior vice president of corporate development until 2019.
The date of the upcoming annual meeting has not been announced.
CalAmp closed up 5.1% at $5.75 per share for a market cap of $206.4 million. Its shares are off by more than 50% over the past year.
