Entrepreneurs Give $1M to Coastline

Real estate developer Frank Jao and sandwich shop entrepreneur Chieu Le gave a combined $1 million to kickstart a fund raising bid by Coastline Community College’s foundation.

The money is part of an endowment campaign designed to provide an ongoing source of funding for Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley.

The school has named a new building the Le-Jao Center in honor of the $1 million donation.

Jao is chief executive of Huntington Beach-based Bridgecreek Realty Investment Corp., a real estate developer and owner.

He’s had a big hand in developing the Little Saigon area, which covers parts of Westminster, Garden Grove and Santa Ana.

Jao made his donation along with wife Catherine.

Le runs San Jose-based Lee’s Sandwiches International Inc. and runs several shops in Little Saigon and elsewhere in Orange County. The chain sells sandwiches that are a mix of Vietnamese, French and American tastes.
