EARNINGS

Standard Pacific Corp., Costa Mesa, posted earnings of $13.9 million on revenue of $232.1 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $13.8 million on revenue of $214.5 million in the first quarter of 1999.

Buy.com, Aliso Viejo, reported a net loss of $32.8 million on sales of $207.6 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with a net loss of $19.3 million on sales of $107.9 million for the first quarter of 1999.

Wynn’s International Inc., Orange, reported earnings of $7.8 million on sales of $143.3 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $7.4 million on sales of $88.5 million for the prior first quarter.

Water Pik Technologies Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $0.5 million on revenue of $65.2 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $1.4 million on revenue of $53.6 million in the previous first quarter.

Microsemi Corp., Santa Ana, reported earnings of $1.9 million (including an acquisition-related charge of $1.7 million) on revenue of $61.0 million for the second fiscal quarter ended April 2, compared with earnings of $2.0 million on revenue of $39.5 million in the prior second quarter. For the six-month period, the company posted $2.8 million in earnings (including the charge) on revenue of $115.6 million, compared with earnings of $4.3 million on revenue of $78.9 million in the prior-year period.

Nationwide Health Properties Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $16.0 million on revenue of $42.8 million (including funds from operations of $24.8 million) for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $15.8 million on revenue of $39.3 million (including funds from operations of $24.5 million) in the first quarter of 1999.

Universal Electronics Inc., Cypress, reported earnings of $1.0 million on revenue of $22.7 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $0.4 million on revenue of $20.9 million in the first quarter last year.

Diedrich Coffee Inc., Irvine, reported earnings of $0.1 million on sales of $16.7 million for the fiscal third quarter ended March 8, compared with a net loss of $0.6 million on sales of $6.1 million in the comparable prior-year period. For the nine-month period, the company posted earnings of $0.3 million on revenue of $32.7 million, compared with a net loss of $1.6 million on revenue of $15.8 million in the prior-year period.

Ceradyne Inc., Costa Mesa, posted earnings of $1.2 million on revenue of $11.1 million for the first calendar quarter, compared with earnings of $48,000 on revenue of $6.3 million in last year’s first quarter.

Bristol Retail Solutions Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $0.2 million (including a $1.7 million one-time gain from the sale of a unit) on revenue of $9.2 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss $0.9 million (including a one-time gain of $0.5 million from a key-man life insurance policy) on revenue of $8.6 million in the fourth quarter of 1998. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $0.4 million (including the one-time gain) on revenue of $36.7 million, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million (including the one-time gain) on revenue of $32.2 million in 1998.

I-Flow Corp., Lake Forest, reported earnings of $0.4 million on revenue of $7.5 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $0.6 million on revenue of $6.2 million in the first quarter of 1999.

Aviation Distributors Inc., Lake Forest, posted a net loss of $0.3 million on revenue of $7.0 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of $2.4 million on revenue of $5.5 million in the fourth quarter of 1998. For the year, the company reported a net loss of $1.8 million on revenue of $23.4 million, compared with a net loss of $5.9 million on revenue of $28.4 million in 1998.

CAM Commerce Solutions Inc. (formerly CAM Data Systems Inc.), Fountain Valley, reported a net loss of $0.2 million on revenue of $5.3 million for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $0.2 million on revenue of $6.3 million in the previous second quarter. For the six-month period, the company posted earnings of $45,000 on revenue of $11.9 million, compared with earnings of $0.3 million on revenue of $11.9 million in the prior-year period.

MC Informatics Inc., Irvine, reported a net loss of $2.0 million on revenue of $1.9 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of $0.1 million on revenue of $1.4 million for the prior fourth quarter. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $3.4 million on revenue of $8.6 million, compared with a net loss $0.2 million on revenue of $3.7 million in 1998.

Vitalcom Inc., Tustin, reported a net loss of $2.6 million on revenue of $3.1 million for the first calendar quarter, compared with a net loss of $0.3 million on revenue of $4.8 million in the first quarter last year.

Prolong International Corp., Irvine, posted a net loss of $4.5 million on revenue of $3.0 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of $1.8 million on revenue of $6.1 million in the fourth quarter of 1998. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $6.6 million on revenue of $34.5 million, compared with earnings of $0.4 million on revenue of $35.0 million in 1998.

GolfGear International Inc., Garden Grove, posted a net loss of $1.4 million on revenue of $2.3 million for 1999, compared with a net loss of $2.7 million on revenue of $1.2 million in 1998.

Hycor Biomedical Inc., Garden Grove, reported earnings of $0.3 million on revenue of $4.6 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with earnings of $0.1 million on revenue of $4.8 million in the first quarter of 1998. (See item on page 33.)

Biomerica Inc., Newport Beach, reported a net loss of $0.9 million on revenue of $1.8 million for the fiscal third quarter ended Feb. 29, compared with a net loss of $0.2 million on revenue of $1.8 million in the prior third quarter.

Radiance Medical Systems Inc., Irvine, reported a net loss of $1.1 million on revenue of $1.7 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of $2.8 million on revenue of $3.5 million in the fourth quarter of 1998. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $10.8 million on revenue of $6.7 million, compared with a net loss of $8.0 million on revenue of $12.2 million in 1998.
