CONSTRUCTION
Sukut Construction, a nationwide heavy civil contractor, has appointed Eddie Juarez as President.
In his new role, Juarez will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and overall performance while guiding its long-term strategic direction. He will provide leadership across all business units and work closely with the executive team to drive operational excellence, strengthen collaboration, and support the company’s continued growth. His focus will be on enhancing project delivery, advancing operational efficiency, and ensuring Sukut Construction continues to meet the evolving needs of its clients and partners.
Juarez brings more than two decades of experience in heavy civil construction, having managed complex projects across mass grading, environmental construction, landfill development, disaster response, and public works. Since joining Sukut in 2006 as a project engineer, he has advanced through a series of project and company leadership positions, including several vice president roles. Most recently, as Vice President of Operations, he oversaw a range of projects and helped implement initiatives to improve consistency, productivity, and overall performance across the organization.
What sets Juarez apart is his people-first leadership style. Over nearly two decades at Sukut, he has built a reputation as a steady, approachable leader who is genuinely invested in the people around him. He believes the company’s success is a direct reflection of the people who show up every day to build it and leads accordingly. He is frequently in the field, staying connected to crews and the work, and measures success not just by project outcomes, but by how his teams grow along the way.
Colleagues and industry partners value Juarez for his ability to build strong, lasting relationships and lead with authenticity in demanding environments. He emphasizes accountability, communication, and collaboration, fostering a culture where people feel supported and teams can perform at their best. His leadership reflects a belief that real success is built through people, not just projects.
A consistent advocate for safety, Juarez prioritizes maintaining and strengthening the company’s safety-first culture. He serves as Sukut’s leading safety champion, reinforcing the belief that taking care of people is not a program or policy, but a responsibility shared across every crew, office, and jobsite.
As President, Juarez steps into the role with the trust of the people around him and a clear conviction: that Sukut’s future is built by supporting the people who make the work happen.
“Eddie has been an integral part of Sukut’s success for two decades,” said Mike Crawford, Chief Executive Officer of Sukut Construction. “His leadership, experience, and deep understanding of our operations make him the right person to guide the company forward. Eddie has demonstrated his commitment to Sukut’s values throughout his career, and I am confident that under his leadership, Sukut will continue to grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional results for our clients.”
Juarez holds a bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Founded in 1968, Sukut Construction has more than five decades of experience delivering complex heavy civil projects across the United States.
