Dear Angels:
THANKS FOR BRIGHTENING THE SUMMER! (THIS MESSAGE PRECEDES THE
weekend Yankees series, hopefully it has retained its shelf life.)
Dear Dodgers:
KEEP WINNING, GUYS, WE WANT A FREEWAY SERIES (CONTRACT
negotiators willing)!
Read, Weep, Drink
CONSIDER:
& #149; If you had bought $1,000 worth of Nortel stock two years ago, it would now be worth about $10.
& #149; With Enron or Worldcom, you’d have about $5 of the original $1,000.
& #149; If you had bought $1,000 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock) two years ago, drank all of it and then turned in the cans for the deposit, you would have about $40.
& #149; Based on the above, the investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
