Chapman University has named Sandra Estok director of development for its School of Film and Television.
Estok has more than 12 years of development and capital campaign experience with organizations in the U.S. mainland, Hawaii, and Scotland. Most recently she was senior account executive for a fundraising firm in New York.
Chapman’s School of Film and Television is in the initial phase of a major campaign to raise $50 million to build and equip Chapman Studios, which will feature a sound stage and a back lot.
“A film studio is the missing piece in the Orange County arts scene,” says Bob Bassett, dean of Chapman’s film school.
Estok holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in political science from Kent State University.
She has managed or consulted on fundraising efforts for numerous non-profit organizations and several political figures, including San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.
Her Orange County experience includes work with Saddleback Memorial Hospital, Catholic Healthcare West and teaching a fund-raising class at the University of California, Irvine.
