Avery Dennison debuts a new CD labeling product

The Brea unit of Pasadena-based Avery Dennison Corp. has launched a new line of compact disc labels and software. The new line, dubbed AfterBurner by Avery, is geared toward music fans, graphic artists and other specialized users looking to customize and organize their CDs. AfterBurner includes a CD labeling kit, disc labels, jewel case inserts and a label applicator.

The AfterBurner product line is the third of its kind for Avery Dennison. In February, the company acquired CD Stomper, a line of disc labels, software and a label applicator, from Costa Mesa-based Stomp Inc. Avery plans on using CD Stomper for everyday consumers looking to label their own CDs.

The company’s third line of CD products is sold under the Avery brand and is geared toward office workers.
