Irvine-based Allied Esports Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq: AESE), an operator of venues and live events for video gaming enthusiasts, said it will  focus on selling its Esports division and will evaluate the acquisition of one or more companies.Â
The company in a statement yesterday announced a series of changes to its board and management team, including the appointment of  Lyle Berman as president. He has been serving as board chairman. Â
Libing Wu continues to serve as the company’s chief executive officer, according to the statement.Â
The company will report third-quarter earnings on Nov. 15.Â
Allied Esports Entertainment fell 1.3% to $2.25 apiece for a market cap of $88 million today.
