Blizzard Entertainment Fanfest Will Go Online

Blizzard Entertainment said its 2021 gamer fanfest will be online on Feb. 19-20 after the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of this year’s event, which had been scheduled for Anaheim.

The all-digital event has been named BlizzConline. The announcement of the event on a Blizzard blog did not say whether there will be a charge to take part.

The live BlizzCon events traditionally drew tens of thousands of gaming enthusiasts to Anaheim each autumn.

Shares in parent company Activision Blizzard (Nasdaq: ATVI) rose 1.7% to $81.41 apiece for a market cap of $62.8 billion.
