Foothill Ranch-based Oakley Inc. has introduced a new snow goggle that displays information on the inside of the lense via GPS and Bluetooth.
The goggles—which allow wearers to view jump statistics, slope locations of friends and incoming calls and text messages—are controlled through a wireless remote that can be attached to the body or the goggle itself.
Airwave goggles are offered in two styles, each selling for about $600.
The goggles are being sold at Oakley stores and through the company’s website in addition to other retailers, including select Apple stores.
It is the first time Oakley is selling its eyewear through Apple and Apple.com.
Oakley, part of Italy-based Luxottica Group SpA, makes and sells sunglasses, goggles and prescription frames as well as clothing, shoes and accessories.
