The S&P 500 increased 0.9% to 4,008.16 in midday trading.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4% to 33,117.03.
The Nasdaq climbed 1.4% to 13,434.34.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 3.7% to 1.681%.
Oil was up 2.3% to $60.51 a barrel.
The price of gold rose 0.6% to $1,726 an ounce.

Irvine-based Vizio Holding Corp. (NYSE: VZIO) fell 6% to $22.77 for a $4.2 billion market cap. Shares are still up since the TV maker went public at $21 a share last Thursday.
ENERGY
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE), OC’s largest public clean tech firm, rose 5% to $14.44 for a $2.9 billion market cap. Shares of the Newport Beach-based company have more than doubled since the beginning of the year.
