Digital camera company Red.com LLC of Irvine was among many forced to evacuate due to the Silverado fire that broke out Monday.
The company’s Irvine factory was evacuated Monday evening.
“Hoping for some good news in the morning, but this may cause a delay of Komodos going out tomorrow,” said president and co-owner Jarred Land on his Instagram Monday evening. “We are gonna play this one really safe as it’s not just the factory, but a lot of our employees that live near the factory that are having a really rough night tonight. Thank you all you firefighters out there battling the chaos.”
The Komodo is the company’s newest camera, touting 6K at a starting price of $5,995.
The Silverado fire was about 5% contained, burning across 11,199 acres as of Tuesday morning, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
