Kaiser Aluminum Corp. in Foothill Ranch appointed Keith Harvey chief operating officer—a newly created position. Harvey, 56, was also named president, a post previously held by Chief Executive Jack Hockema.
Harvey joined Kaiser Aluminum in 1981. He had served as executive vice president of fabricated products since June 2014. He was senior vice president of sales and marketing, aerospace and general engineering from June 2012 to June 2014 and vice president of sales and marketing, aerospace and general engineering products from 2000 to June 2012.
“For the past twenty years Keith has been instrumental in the company’s growth and transformation to a position of industry leadership in its chosen end markets,” Hockema said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing to work with Keith in his new capacity as we execute on our strategic initiatives for growth and efficiency, further strengthening the company’s competitive position for longer term profitability and shareholder value creation.”
Kaiser Aluminum, a maker of semifabricated aluminum products, has a market value of about $1.45 billion.
