Automobile-focused chip company Indie Semiconductor (Nasdaq: INDI) in Aliso Viejo said its China subsidiary has received $43 million in a series B round of funding from multiple investors in China.
The investors in the agreement that closed at the end of November include two of the top four Chinese original equipment manufacturers (OEMS).
Separately, Indie Semiconductor said it has formed a strategic partnership with Seeing Machines, a leading computer vision technology company.
The partnership aims to further development of advanced vision processors for driver and vehicle occupant monitoring.
Shares in Indie Semiconductor closed down 0.7% at $5.79 apiece for a market cap of $724.5 million.
