Incipio Technologies Inc. said it signed a multiyear licensing deal with Tumi Holdings Inc. to design, manufacture and distribute a range of premium mobile device accessories for the South Plainfield, N.J.-based luggage maker.
The Irvine-based company’s Tumi offering is set to include protective smartphone and tablet cases; battery cases and portable charging packs; and headphones and earbuds.
“Tumi is an extraordinary global brand … widely recognized for impeccable design,” Chief Executive Andy Fathollahi said in a statement.
Incipio had about $200 million in sales last year through retail chains that include Best Buy, telecommunication companies’ stores, and its own website. It competes with Anaheim-based Targus Group International Inc. and other companies.
Incipio also makes cases for Burton Snowboards in Burlington, Vt. and fashion designer Kate Spade & Co. in New York.
