Sew Cal Logo Buys Action Shirts

Sew Cal Logo, Inc., an L.A.-based film wardrobe and surfwear manufacturing company, bought Huntington Beach-based Action Shirts for an undisclosed amount of cash and stock.

Action Shirts, also known as “Hangtime,” has been in Huntington Beach since 1978. The company offers screen printing and graphic design services for the surfing industry.

Joe Pearson, owner of Action Shirts, is set to stay on as art director, said Sew Cal Logo President Rick Songer, in a statement.

The buy allows Action Shirts to provide additional services, including private-label garment and accessory production, cap and headwear design with in-house manufacturing as well as computer embroidery.
