Ryan McSweeney was promoted to marketing manager at Pacific Chorale in Santa Ana. He began working at the company eight years ago. Marc Averitt was named president of the Orange County Venture Group’s board of directors for 2008. Averitt is cofounder and managing director of Okapi Venture Capital in Laguna Beach, which has invested in companies such as San Clemente-based RF Nano Corp. He has more than a decade of experience in the technology industry including leadership roles in business development, operations and corporate development.
Norma Garcia Guillen was elected president of the Hispanic Bar Association of OC for 2008. Guillen is a trial associate at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in Costa Mesa. She specializes in general business litigation in various industries and has handled transactional matters for Irvine chipmaker Broadcom Corp.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car promoted Michael Zepeda to human resource generalist manager for the South OC region and promoted Robert Wozniak to area manager of car sales division in the region. Zepeda works in the Huntington Beach office and manages benefits, legal compliance, retention and training in the region. Wozniak is based in the Laguna Niguel office and oversees finance, marketing and training in 11 cities.
EDUCATION
University of California, Irvine Extension added Mia Kyricos to its advisory board for the spa and hospitality management certificate program. Kyricos is director of spa development, operations and marketing at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. She has 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has a master’s of management in hospitality from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Hall & Foreman Inc. named Georgann Brannon, Per Hernholm, Matt Kunkle, Gavin Powell and Michelle Marquez-Riley associates. They will assist the firm’s principals in management, strategic planning and development of company policy and procedures. Hall & Foreman specializes in civil engineering, surveying, land planning and landscape architecture.

Doug Allen was named vice president of clinical programs for CareMore. Allen most recently was chief medical officer for Greater Newport Physicians IPA.
INSURANCE
Edgewood Partners Insurance Center hired Jim Johnson as senior vice president. Johnson has 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. He recently focused on management, surety and insurance production at UnionBanc Insurance. He will be based in Edgewood’s Orange office.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Irvine added nine associates to its Irvine office: Ashley Allyn, Lindsay Aragon, Anne Brody, Lauren Fredericks, Mark Gleason, Heather Hearne, Kevin Schubert, Jeffrey Todd and Mary Anne Tooke.
James R. Wilson and Karen L. Crouch joined Hart, King and Coldren in Santa Ana. Wilson was added to the real estate transactional and land-use group. He was formerly vice president and general counsel for American Real Estate Development Co. Crouch joined as the firm’s franchise and real estate paralegal in the transactional department.

Habitat for Humanity of OC named Hugo J. Nu & #324;o a board member. Nu & #324;o is the senior vice president of administration, operations and compliance at Sunwest Bank in Tustin. He has 27 years of experience in the banking industry.
The OC Bar Foundation named a board president and added board members. Alan J. Crivaro was named president. Crivaro has served as a public defender in OC for 25 years. Deanna L. Fox, Marc K. Callahan and Daniel S. Robinson were added as board members.

Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. in Irvine promoted Erica Griffith from senior community association manager to group coordinator. She will manage a portfolio of communities throughout OC and will mentor team members.
Irvine-based Foremost Communities Inc. named Rush Stanisai land acquisition manager. Stanisai recently was a finance manager at Lennar Homes of California Inc., a unit of Miami-based Lennar Corp.
Carson Cos. named Todd Burnight senior vice president of marketing and development. Burnight manages marketing and development for the company’s portfolio of properties throughout Southern California and Texas. Prior to joining Carson Cos., Burnight was vice president and market officer for ProLogis.
