Parker Aerospace Expands Through Acquisition

Irvine-based Parker Aerospace is set to expand operations with the addition of Florida’s Shaw Aero Devices Inc.

Parker’s parent company, Cleveland-based Parker-Hannifin Corp., announced the acquisition Friday. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Parker Aerospace is part of the company’s air and fuel division, which makes aircraft fuel systems parts. It also has operations in Arizona, Guaymas and Mexico.

In Irvine, Parker employs about 1,750.

Shaw, a maker of airplane parts, has about 250 employees with revenue for

2007 at $45 million.

Parker Hannifin had revenue of nearly $11 billion over the past 12 months with a market value of $13.5 billion.

The company also announced it bought UK-based Kay Pneumatics Ltd.

Both deals are expected to add to next year’s earnings.
