Irvine-based Broadcom Corp. continues to boost its presence in Europe, this time with an office in Cambridge, England.
The chipmaker has opened an office there with 85 engineers focusing on research and development for wireless and broadband chips.
Broadcom has been expanding its presence in Europe during the past year with the addition of nearly 100 people.
Broadcom already has 10 offices across Europe. The new office, in the Cambridge Science Park,an area dubbed “Silicon Fen”,could see expansion, the company said.
