UC Irvine Health, the medical enterprise of the University of California-Irvine, said its division of geriatric medicine and gerontology received a three-year, $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The money will be used to strengthen medical training and healthcare delivery to Orange County’s senior population.
UC Irvine Health said it received the money through HHS’ geriatrics workforce enhancement program, which funds development of programs that support care for older adults.
