Kaiser Permanente said today that Julie Miller-Phipps, vice president and executive director of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan in Orange County, was named president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia.
Miller-Phipps succeeds Kerry Kohnen, who is retiring. The Oakland-based health plan did not specify when Miller-Phipps would begin her new job.
Miller-Phipps is a 30-year veteran of Kaiser. In Orange County, she led a service area with 23 medical offices, hospitals in Anaheim and Irvine, and more than 480,000 members.
