The Nasdaq increased 1.2% to 11,300.79.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond decreased 1.3% to 0.69%.
Oil declined 4.28% to $38.50 a barrel.
The price of gold climbed 1.12% to $1,917 an ounce.
TECHNOLOGY
Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: SWKS) of Irvine increased 3% to $149.99 a share with a $25 billion market cap. The chipmaker’s shares have risen over 18% since the beginning of the year.
Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) climbed 3% to $117.03 a share with a $7.7 billion market cap. Shares of the maker of software data have climbed 11% in the past six trading sessions.
HEALTHCARE
Newport Beach-based Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) rose 5% to $4.10 a share with a market cap of $138 million. The aesthetics firm’s stock is still down about 30% since July, when it announced an unfavorable initial ruling in an intellectual property case.
