Fountain Valley-based MemorialCare Health System appointed Diane Laird to its new chief strategy officer post.
The appointment will take effect Jan. 1.
Laird is currently chief executive of Greater Newport Phy-sicians and Nautilus Healthcare Management Group, and she will continue in that job. Greater Newport Physicians became part of MemorialCare in 2012.
She was an executive at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital in Newport Beach for more than 20 years before establishing Nautilus Healthcare Management.
She holds degrees from the University of California, Irvine, and the University of California, Los Angeles.
