Ista Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Wednesday that its stockholders have approved the Irvine-based drug maker’s $500 million takeover by Rochester, N.Y.-based Bausch & Lomb Inc.
Ista, which makes eye-care drugs, said 79% of its outstanding shares were voted to approve the acquisition by Bausch. The transaction was expected to close by the end of today.
