Irvine-based TC3 Health Inc., a healthcare technology company, has been sold to Emdeon Inc. for an undisclosed price.
Emdeon, which is based in Nashville, Tenn. said it bought TC3 in order to expand its line of payment services for insurers and other healthcare providers.
TC3, which was founded in 2000, also has a preferred-provider organization network as well as technology, including data analysis tools that help health insurance companies manage their claims. The company said on its website that it processes over 75 million healthcare claims annually on behalf of its clients.
